This is just a reminder of the Impeachment Rally tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 22, at
the major intersection of Glenstone and Battlefield in Springfield. The rally will
begin at 5 p.m. and last for one hour.
We have several extra impeachment signs that will be available if you don't have a sign, but don't hesitate to bring a sign just in case there aren't enough for everybody. As information several signs will say "Honk for Impeachment." This ought to be interesting, and fun. We know in the wave that is rolling all across America we have many more friends in the community than ever before. We look forward to seeing everybody possible that can be there. Please remember the policy is to extend courtesy and respect for all citizens. Even though some people are misguided, we are all in this together in America. Our intention is to communicate and educate the community in a positive manner by showing them the First Amendment is still applicable, and invite them to join us in our purpose of informed dissent at the way our government is being mislead. At 6 p.m. the impeachment rally will end, and then lets go support the Dept. of Peace meeting beginning at 7 p.m. at the Library Center, or the CODEPINK meeting starting at 6 p.m. at the Library Station.
We had a scheduling accident, which actually is the better problem to have with more
voices for peace in Springfield now with three active organizations. The leaders of
the organizations will be coordinating closer in the future so we are able to support each other to the maximum extent possible. We also understand the Peace
Network, the Dept. of Peace, and CODEPINK will be joined in Springfield next month
by a new chapter starting by Veterans For Peace. The wave is rolling all across the
country, and it is now in the Ozarks. We need to help the political parties to understand what is in their interest, or not, and we will be planning additional
protest activity at the political parties soon. There will be a notice forthcoming
for the action planned to stand in solidarity with CODEPINK on Aug. 29, at a Republican location. The emphasis will be "Healthcare Not Warfare." The month of
September may be one of the most important months to our country in many years with
the Iraq War measurements being released. We are aware there will be many national
events across the country in September, and we are planning to be among them.
Come and help us tomorrow to promote impeachment of the leaders who have contrived the Iraq War for the sake of profit and oil, and have mislead our country on so many other issues. Americans must stand up now lest we lose our Democracy entirely. We must speak out across the country in the loudest voice we can make. Thanks to all for what you do to support peace and justice in your own way. Everything you do helps. Dave Davison Pres. PNO http://www.ozarkpeace.net/ To Members &; Friends of the Peace Network of the Ozarks, In view of all the increasing visibility of activities occurring in nearly every state, and at the national level, we believe the time has come locally to connect Peace with Justice. The Peace Network will renew our own activities involving requests for impeachment of President George W. Bush, and Vice President Dick Cheney. Our first event will be as follows. Please join us in the effort for Justice that aligns with Peace, and also aligns with so many other issues of correct American government. Bring your signs, and don't hesitate to bring an American flag to show our effort is patriotic, and in the best interest of America and all its citizens. As information we will have a few signs available, but maybe not enough for everybody, so don't hesitate to bring a sign. In any effort we make we should continue to conduct our own stringent policy to maintain courtesy and respect for all citizens. We will occupy public property only, and we'll stand back far enough from the curb sufficiently to protect ourselves, and the public. As a part of the majority wave that is now rolling all across America, we will smile and wave in a friendly manner at the minority opinions; that may be expressed in our direction. Our purpose is always friendly, non-violent action to help educate the community. Come and join us. It will be fun to count the supporting car honks we get that we now know is the majority. Detail follows. Honk For Justice Impeach Bush-Cheney Wednesday, August 22, 2007 5 - 6 P.M. At Major Intersection of Glenstone and Battlefield Springfield, MO Also as information, a Department of Peace meeting will be starting a short time later after the impeachment event ends. The Department of Peace meeting begins at 7 p.m. We encourage all attending the impeachment action to also attend the Department of Peace meeting that will be a relatively short distance away. We will be sending the Department of Peace notice to members and friends shortly.
