SW MO Chapter of Barack Obama for President to hold BBQ & The Newton County Democratic Picnic & LABOR DAY PARADE AND PICNIC
The Newton County Democrat Picnic - Saturday August 25th at Monark Springs
This is a great opportunity for Democrats in the Southwest Missouri to meet, talk and listen to Democrats running for office all across the state. Food will be served at 1:00 p.m. Speakers are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. Scheduled Speakers are: Robin Carnahan, Secretary of State Jon Hagler, representing Jay Nixon for Governor Mark Powell, running for State Treasurer Several other local Democrats will be speaking as well. Bring a lawn chair!! Directions: From Joplin, Use Hwy 59/60 South and turn left on Hwy 86 east. Then turn right on Monark Drive, Look for the signs. From Springfield, Use I 44 West towards Joplin to exit 18A towards Diamond. Stay on Hwy 59 South and turn left on Hwy 86 East then turn right on Monark Drive, look for the signs.
The Greene County Democratic Party will have a float, along with many Democratic office holders and candidates. Come join us in the Parade and show your support for Labor!!!! For more information, please contact the Democratic office at 886-8980.
